WordPress maintenance that prevents problems
Updates alone aren’t maintenance. Good WordPress maintenance combines backups, monitoring, security, testing and technical support when something goes wrong.
What does WordPress maintenance include?
WordPress consists of the core, a theme, plugins, PHP, a database, and the hosting environment. A change to one component can affect the rest. That’s why we look beyond a green checkmark for automatic updates.
- Controlled updates for WordPress, plugins, and themes
- Backups that can be used as restore points
- Uptime and error monitoring
- Checks for security risks and unauthorized accounts
- Technical support for outages and changes
Monitoring isn’t repair
An alert tells us that something is wrong. Someone then needs to assess the cause and take safe action. Our management combines monitoring with WordPress expertise.
Why maintenance costs less than emergency repairs
Outdated plugins, failed background tasks, and full databases often build up gradually. Regular checks make these problems visible sooner. This reduces the chance of a minor issue developing into an outage or an old vulnerability being exploited.
What we don’t do automatically
We don’t blindly install every update as soon as it’s available. For critical components, we assess dependencies and risks. We discuss major changes, paid licences and new custom development with you beforehand.
Frequently asked questions about WordPress maintenance
Aren’t automatic updates enough?
Automatic updates install new versions, but they don’t check whether your website still works properly afterward. With controlled maintenance, we review dependencies and risks, create a restore point in advance, and check the website and key features afterward.
What happens if an update breaks something?
Because there’s a restore point from before the update, we can restore the last working version. We’ll then look for the cause, such as a conflict between a plugin, the theme or the PHP version, before running the update again.
Are paid licenses and custom work included in maintenance?
We always discuss major changes, paid licenses and new custom work in advance. This way, you know what is and isn’t included in maintenance.
My website already has problems. Can I still arrange maintenance?
Yes. We’ll first assess the existing problem. If you switch to our WordPress management service, the first agreed repair may be free after a technical assessment. Read how free repairs when switching work.
Have your current situation assessed
