Your WordPress site, clean and reliable again
Removing malware is about more than deleting one suspicious file. We investigate the extent of the infection, clean up the website, and reduce the chance of the attacker returning.
Signs of a possible hack
Unknown administrators, spam links, unusual redirects, altered pages, security alerts or plugins that keep coming back are clear warning signs.
Our approach
- Secure backup and assessment of the infection
- Check of the WordPress core, plugins, themes, users, and scheduled tasks
- Remove or replace infected components
- Renew passwords and security keys where necessary
- Functional checks and advice on ongoing maintenance
Prevention is part of the repair
That’s why we combine repairs with updates, monitoring, backups and managed maintenance. If you migrate to us, the first agreed malware removal may be free after an initial assessment.
Frequently asked questions about a hacked WordPress site
How can I tell if my WordPress site has been hacked?
Common signs include unknown administrators, spam links or pages you didn’t create, redirects to other websites, warnings from Google or your host, and plugins or files that reappear after you’ve deleted them.
Should I take my website offline?
Not always. If the site redirects visitors to harmful pages or data is being misused, temporarily restricting access may be advisable. In any case, don’t delete files or logs: they’re needed to find out how the attacker got in.
Is restoring a backup enough?
Sometimes, but only if the backup is confirmed to predate the infection and the vulnerability is closed afterward, such as a vulnerable plugin or a leaked password. Otherwise, the attacker may get back in the same way.
Can you guarantee that all the malware is gone?
No one can honestly guarantee that. We check files, users, WordPress core, plugins and other possible entry points, report what we’ve verifiably checked and identify any remaining risks.
